With the sudden surge in generative AI, particularly in image creation, there has been several arguments on whether integration of AI in art is a 'boon or bane'.  The world seems divided and we are still figuring out the implications of generative AI in society, especially the art community. While attending SIGGRAGH '23, I had the opportunity to experience both perspectives. I had the privilege to  meet with talented artists like  Dr. Jiabao Li who have leveraged AI to enhance their artistic endeavours. Simultaneously, I attended a panel featuring traditional artists who raised concerns about the same. Given my background in both computer vision and my passion for art, I believe I am uniquely positioned to understand both the sides and help bridge the gap. I aim to address  some of these concerns and encourage a world where AI driven art and traditional artists can coexist.
